Most children go through three drinking stages, and most families buy three cups to match. This one covers all three with interchangeable lids — start with the straw, move to the sippy spout once they can tilt a cup, then take the lid off altogether for open-cup practice.

The straw has a cross-cut valve, which sits closed at rest. That means far less leaking in a bag or pram, but it does take a bit more suction than a free-flowing straw, so it suits a child who has already worked out how to sip rather than one starting from scratch. If you're right at the beginning, our Sip Cup is the gentler place to start.

Swap in the snack lid and the cup becomes a snack pot — useful when you're heading out and would rather not pack two things.

Size: 250mL capacity · Two easy-grip handles

304-grade stainless steel inner with a removable BPA-free, phthalate-free food-grade silicone sleeve, interchangeable food-grade silicone drinking lids, a silicone straw with cross-cut valve and a bonus silicone snack lid. Dishwasher safe.

Samples from our tableware range have undergone independent laboratory testing for phthalates, total lead and cadmium, and against selected children's product safety requirements including sharp points, sharp edges and small parts.

Testing relates to representative samples submitted by our supplier. Individual products, components and colours have not been separately tested.

  • Wash before first use
  • Dishwasher safe
  • Hand washing is recommended to help preserve the product for longer
  • Flush warm soapy water through the straw so it passes through the valve, then rinse
  • Gently flex the straw to help open the valve while rinsing
  • Stand the straw upright to drain and allow it to dry fully before use
  • Do not use in the microwave
  • Avoid harsh scrubbers or abrasive cleaners
  • Remove the silicone sleeve to clean underneath
  • Check the straw regularly and replace it if discoloured or damaged

About the valve: The straw has a cross-cut valve moulded into it. It isn't a separate part and doesn't come apart. The slit stays closed at rest, so make sure water actually passes through when washing rather than just rinsing the outside.

  • Babies and toddlers learning to drink independently
  • Transitioning from sippy cup to straw cup to open cup
  • Water, milk and small drinks throughout the day
  • Snacks on the go using the silicone snack lid
  • Fruit, crackers, puffs and little bites
  • Home, daycare, outings and travel
  • Families wanting one cup that can be used in multiple ways

3-in-1 Transition Cup or Sip Cup?

3-in-1 Transition Cup

  • Valve straw — controls flow, better for bags and prams
  • 250mL — more for a growing thirst
  • Straw, sippy or open cup as they progress
  • Bonus snack lid for on the go

Sip Cup

  • Free-flowing straw — easiest for a first-time sipper
  • 120mL — small serves for small drinkers
  • One way to drink, so there's nothing to work out
  • Best at home, not packed in a bag
