The Sip Cup is a first cup rather than a travel cup, and the straw is the reason. It's free flowing with no valve, so a small amount of suction brings a drink up — which is what a baby who has never used a straw actually needs. A valve straw asks for a technique they haven't learned yet, and the usual result is a frustrated child and a full cup.
The trade-off is worth being upfront about. With no valve holding the liquid back, water can travel up the straw if the cup is tipped, shaken or put in a bag. It's made for the table and the high chair, not the pram basket.
Two handles let them bring it up with both hands, which is how it's done at this age, and 120mL keeps it light enough to lift when it's full.
Assembly tip: fit the lid on first, then push the straw down through it. Adding the straw before the lid pushes liquid up the straw and causes spills. If your child can't draw a drink, check the straw isn't sealed flat against the base of the cup — pull it up so there's a small gap underneath.
